maryland state policeOn July 6, 2014, the Maryland State Police were operating a mobile LPR on US50 in Queen Anne's County when they received an alarm for a stolen vehicle. The vehicle, which was a rental vehicle, was confirmed to be stolen from Baltimore County, Maryland. With the assistance of other units, the vehicle was stopped. The driver was subsequently arrested and found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance. The passenger, while being removed from the vehicle, identified himself as a police officer from Virginia and displayed a badge. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the passenger was in fact NOT a police officer and charged accordingly.
