A Bucks County judge on Tuesday began hearing evidence about whether a Milford Township man awaiting trial for allegedly setting off a series of late night explosions that rocked Upper Bucks County neighborhoods last summer violated his bail by using fake names to buy materials for a weapon of mass destruction.

David Surman, 31, was released on $750,000 bail after his June 28 arrest related to more than 20 unexplained explosions. He posted 10 percent of an additional $500,000 bail in October, when detectives allegedly found child pornography on his computers and charged him with that crime.
