Afghan Taliban leader Mullah Akhtar Mansour has been wounded in a gunfight at a meeting of militants in the Pakistani city of Quetta, reports say.

A source close to the Taliban told the BBC that shots were fired after an argument at the meeting, killing four people and seriously wounding Mansour.  The Taliban's spokesman denied that the firefight took place.

Mullah Mansour's appointment prompted splits in the Taliban after its founder Mullah Omar's death emerged in July.
