“Hundreds of gunshots” is how witnesses described the scene outside a Kosher grocery store on Martin Luther King Drive in Jersey City Tuesday afternoon.

Six people were killed in the shooting — a longtime Jersey City police officer, Joseph Seals, three civilians and the two alleged shooters, authorities said.

A stolen U-Haul van with a possible explosive inside was taken from the scene and is being examined by a bomb squad, according to authorities.

Two other officers were shot, but have since been released from the hospital.
