Suspected gang members charged in May assault on bicycling teen

Two suspected gang members have been arrested and another is wanted in connection with the spring abduction and assault of a teen riding his bicycle near Manassas Mall.

On Oct. 25, detectives with the Northern Virginia Regional Gang Task Force wrapped up an investigation into the May 7 case, which happened in the area of Rixlew Lane and Sudley Road.

Kevin Oswaldo Duran Reyes, 18, of the 7500 block of Gales Court in Manassas was arrested and charged with abduction, brandishing a firearm, assault and battery and two counts of gang participation, said Prince William police spokesman Nathan Probus.

An 18-year-old teen was charged with abduction, assault and battery and two counts of gang participation, Probus said. He was 17 at the time and has been charged as a juvenile. His name was not released.

2 MS-13 gang members plead guilty to murder, attempted murder

BRENTWOOD - Officials say two alleged MS-13 gang members have pleaded guilty to separate murder and attempted murder charges.

They say 26-year-old Ronald Catalan, of Brentwood, pleaded guilty Monday to the attempted murder of three rival gang members. His trial was supposed to start today.

According to police, Catalan had been a leader of the Brentwood MS-13 clique.
